Owen has almost 25 years of diversified healthcare management consulting experience, encompassing strategic, financial, market and operations planning. Owen has consulted to major academic, acute care, rehabilitation and other specialty hospitals, physician organizations and insurers. He has also advised other healthcare operators, senior housing organizations, investment banking and other financial institutions, governmental agencies, and state and local financing authorities. His experience includes:
- Developing sophisticated financial models utilized to evaluate strategic initiatives
- Serving as a financial feasibility consultant in over $1 billion of financing and equity transactions
- Preparing strategic, business and financial plans
- Performing market analyses to assess demand for services
- Preparing medical staff plans and assessing physician need in specialty-specific analyses
Prior to joining DGA, Owen owned and operated a health care consulting practice since 2004.
His previous experience includes holding a senior manager position with a national healthcare and senior housing consulting firm. Owen began his career with Laventhol & Horwath as a financial auditor, before transitioning to the firm’s health care management advisory practice.
He holds a BS in Accounting from Gwynedd-Mercy College. He has successfully passed all sections of the Uniformed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam.
